Gravure Packaging

What is Gravure Printing

Gravure printing is the printing process, in which the surface of the plate is covered with ink, and then the non-required ink is removed with a wiper,

so that the ink remains only in the area that needs to be printed, and then with pressure, the ink will be transferred to the printing substrate.

Gravure printing is direct printing method. The printed area is hollowed into the plate, and the depth of the hollowing varies according to the design.

For flexible plastic packaging, the gravure printing process is a direct transfer method for printing on composite or laminated substrates, which include:

1. PET, OPP, nylon and PE films

2. Kraft paper

3. Aluminum foil, etc.
